Today’s artwork is a mystery to me. During Nomadic, there was a lot of stuff moving in and out of the space, and while we kept tabs on 99.5% of it, I have no idea where the painting we casually referred to as “Cop” originated. All I know is “Cop” speaks Spanish, and is very determined to let you know that buying low-priced auto insurance is the law. Curious as to the legality of high-priced auto insurance, but that may be out of his jurisdiction. Any info on this would be grand. It was done on a heavy maybe 1.5” thick board and was glossy in finish. Not sure if it was epoxy sealant over paint, but it seems likely.
There was also a second mystery painting we referred to as “TV”, which I don’t even have a clear photo of, but I’ll include a file shot in the gallery. Both of these mystery paintings lived behind the front desk. “TV” from June through August, and “Cop” from September until the end on Nov 20th.
Speaking of which, this will be wrapping up in the next two weeks before we go dormant for a bit. Thanks for staying tuned!
