This one’s fun! I had the privilege of moderating this fine “Home Recording Panel” featuring Mark Greenberg, Greg Norman, and Brian McNally. Mark Greenberg of the Coctails runs Mayfair Workshop where he captures spots for commercials, tv shows, movies and the like. Greg Norman is an engineer at Electrical Audio, as well as his long-running Studio Greg Studios. And of course, Brian McNally, proprietor of the Rumpus Room.
While Nomadic was a mix of different studios working in concert, the Rumpus Room showcased the home studio as a creative space. Getting to talk to some home recording maestros about their places and practices was edifying. It was a friendly mix of gear talk, good humor, and the flexibility required to work on music at home while keeping your family and neighbors happy.
It was a lengthy and lively discussion. We got into a lot of things, so set aside some time, and enjoy the audio linked below at your leisure.
Bonus item: A visit and interview with Mark Greenberg at his Mayfair Studio
